WinPath Scan
Finds file paths that are too long before a OneDrive, SharePoint or Teams migration.
Long file paths are a common reason OneDrive and SharePoint syncs fail. WinPath Scan walks a folder, flags every path over a limit, and writes a report, so you can fix them before a migration instead of after.
It is a single PowerShell script with no extra modules. Non-technical users can double-click START-HERE.bat, pick a folder and a limit, and the report opens by itself.
What it does
- Presets for the 260-character OneDrive limit and the 400-character Teams and SharePoint Online limit
- Handles very long paths safely and streams results with .NET for speed
- CSV and HTML reports, plus a summary of the longest paths
- Runs on Windows 10, 11 and Server with PowerShell 5.1 or 7
